About the Artist

Cris Roseli visual artist profile photoWelcome to Roseli Designs, where art meets storytelling. I’m Cris Roseli, the creator behind this vision, as well as a mother, teacher, and visual storyteller. My journey as an artist has been shaped by my background in photography, graphic design, and education. With a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication, a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Digital Art from the University of South Florida, and an Associate of Science in Multimedia from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, I’ve cultivated a deep passion for visual expression. My educational journey also includes a Master of Arts in Education, with a focus on Instructional Design from the University of Phoenix.

“To create one’s world in any of the arts takes courage.”

 ― GEORGIA O’KEEFFE

Throughout my career, I’ve been immersed in the fields of communications and marketing, both in print and digital media. As a lifelong learner and teacher, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge in technology and art, and I currently serve as a historian in my hometown. My love for storytelling has been a constant thread throughout my life, beginning in my childhood when I would draw stories with crayons without even realizing it.

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

  ― PABLO PICASSO

Art has always been a source of joy for me. I still fondly remember the thrill of receiving a new box of Crayola crayons, and how I would eagerly create on any surface available. My artistic journey evolved from drawing to photography, a passion that was sparked at the age of 14 when my father gave me a second-hand Minolta 35mm film camera. That camera allowed me to explore the world through a lens, documenting my surroundings and capturing the essence of life in southern Brazil, where I was born.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

— ELLIOTT ERWITT

Photography became a powerful tool for me to tell stories, and it continues to inspire my work today. Whether capturing the beauty of nature or the essence of a moment, I see photography as an art of observation—finding the extraordinary in the ordinary.

“I got a Nikon camera, I love to take a photograph, So mama, don’t take my Kodachrome away”.

 PAUL SIMON, KODACHROME

My creative process extends beyond photography, as my paintings and digital works often originate from the images I capture. I enjoy working in abstract forms, which allows me to connect deeply with my inner self and the world around me. My inspiration comes from my faith, family, and the natural world, and I love to see where my imagination takes me as I bring my visions to life.

“The picture that you took with your camera is the imagination you want to create with reality.”

— SCOTT LORENZO

For me, art is not just a form of expression, but also a path to self-healing and spiritual reflection. I believe that creating art is a way to engage in active meditation, and I encourage everyone to embrace their creativity as a means of connecting with their inner child. I am deeply inspired by the idea that we all have the ability to create beauty, and I hope my work brings a touch of that beauty into your life.

“Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.”

 HENRY WARD BEECHER
